Haul MeBY CALAS AUTOMATIONSKnow your floor rate before you say yes to the load.
Most owner-operators price loads off a gut feeling, not their real cost per mile. Haul Me takes your actual truck costs — fuel, insurance, maintenance, payments, everything — and turns every offered load into a plain green light or red light in a few seconds once your costs are set up, before you commit to it.
Already a customer? Sign in →C$39/mo for up to 3 trucks, C$99/mo for up to 20. First 50 owner-operators and couriers: C$19/mo, locked for 3 years. 30-day money-back guarantee, no questions. Prices in CAD. Not a TMS and not a dispatch board. Mostly one job, done properly: is this load worth taking.
Haul Me, plainly
What it does, what it does not do, what it costs, and how to start.
What it does
- Works out your real cost per km (or mile) and gives a green, yellow or red call on any load.
- Shows the floor rate you can counter down to, and flags deadhead.
- Logs loads by broker and lane. Also has a simple invoice maker, an income and expenses log and an IFTA worksheet.
What it does not do
- Not a TMS, dispatch board, ELD or load board.
- Does not file your IFTA return for you.
- Only as good as the costs you enter.
Price
Owner-operator C$39 a month (up to 3 trucks). Small fleet C$99 a month (up to 20). Founding C$19 a month for the first 50, locked for 3 years. No setup fee. 30-day money-back guarantee.
How it works
Set it up once. Then checking a load takes a few seconds.
Enter your real costs, once.
Fuel at $/L and L/100 km, truck payment, insurance, maintenance, plates, labour — whatever it actually costs to run your truck for a month. Kilometres and CAD by default; miles if you want them.
It works out your cost per kilometre.
The one number every load should be measured against — not the rate a broker quotes you, the rate it actually costs YOU to move.
Type in a load's rate, loaded km and deadhead.
Haul Me gives a green, yellow or red call, shows where the money goes (fuel, driver, fixed share, deadhead) and the floor rate per loaded km you can counter down to. Drag the fuel slider to see what a price jump does.
Every load, tracked by broker and lane.
A running log with totals by broker and by lane (origin → destination) and a one-click CSV export, so you can see who actually makes you money over time, not just this one trip.
Why cost per mile, not just the rate on the board
The same $2.20/mile load is a win for one truck and a loss for another.
The American Transportation Research Institute's 2026 Analysis of the Operational Costs of Trucking (released July 15, 2026, covering 2025 data) reports a total operating cost of US$2.336 per mile — but that's a US industry average. Your own truck's real number, once you count everything, is what actually decides whether a load is worth taking.
| Load offered | Rate per mile | Your cost per mile | Call |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lane A, 450 mi | $2.60 | $2.08 | Take it |
| Lane B, 300 mi + 80 mi deadhead | $2.15 | $2.08 | Walk away |
These are illustrative numbers to show the mechanic, not a real broker's rates. Your own cost-per-mile figure comes from the costs you enter on setup.
The honest trade-off. Haul Me only knows what you tell it. Feed it your real numbers — including the slow months — or the floor rate it gives you back will be wrong in the same direction your gut was.
What it is not
It's a profit brain for one job: is this load worth taking.
What Haul Me does
- Works out your real cost per km (or mile) from the costs you actually have.
- Gives a green / yellow / red call on any load's rate and distance, with the floor rate.
- Flags deadhead before it quietly eats the trip's profit, and shows what it cost.
- Totals profit and margin by broker and by lane; exports the log to CSV.
- Also has a simple invoice maker, an income and expenses log, and an IFTA worksheet (it does not file for you).
What it is not
- Not a full TMS: no dispatch board, no ELD. It does include a simple invoice maker, an income and expenses log, and an IFTA worksheet that totals your quarter's distance and fuel by jurisdiction. It does not file your IFTA return for you.
- No onboarding project. Enter your costs, start checking loads the same day.
- Not an accounting system. It hands you the numbers; your bookkeeper still books them.
- Not a broker or load board. It doesn't find you loads — it judges the ones you already have.

Flat, not per truck — a calculator shouldn't cost more because you bought a second truck.
Where that sits, checked 21 Sep 2026 on the vendors' own pricing pages and converted at 1.40 CAD/USD: the bookkeeping and dispatch tools this sits beside (TruckingOffice, Rigbooks, TruckLogics) start at roughly $27–$56 CAD/month for one or two trucks and do fuller invoicing and IFTA filing than Haul Me's basic invoice maker and IFTA worksheet; load boards (DAT, Truckstop) start at roughly $59–$83 CAD/month and find you loads, which Haul Me does not; the OOIDA cost-per-mile spreadsheet is free and does the yearly number, not the per-load call in km and litres.
